The Obama Administration has recently issued final rules on the Affordable Care Act's employer requirements under Internal Revenue Code section 4980H as well as the final regulations on health care law's information reporting requirements.

Employers must now focus on offering compliant health care coverage to their full-time employees for 2015 or face excise tax penalties. They also must begin collecting information on January 1, 2015 as reports to employees and the IRS will be due beginning January 2016.

ASA Government Affairs Counsel Toby Malara will discuss the latest developments with the ACA and what they may mean to your company. Topics will include:

  • ACA Basics
  • An overview of the final rules regarding the Employer Shared Responsibility and Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements
  • Who Must Be Covered in 2015?
  • Health Insurance Issues
  • Nondiscrimination Rules
  • Client Liability Issues
  • What You Should Be Doing Now
  • An update on developments on Capitol Hill and with the Administration with respect to the ACA
